very epic indeed, idk how people get the stutter effect around 2:53 but I like it a lot

ErikMcClure responds:

I don't know either, it's just a sound effect I used from a giant library of epic drumhits.

very cool synth around 2 min, i like it

Hyenaedon responds:

Thanks, glad ya dig it

sidechain kicks ass, the general atmosphere is perfect for downtempo, i like it

that drum groove has the perfect compression to it, and the sidechain is sick too, only complaint is it's too short, i love it.

extended version coming soon :) -- check my discord for a preview!

funk it up

Nice change ups and perspectives, I like it

Vista-Sound13 responds:

I can relate, buddy, and I'm glad you can too! Thanks! :D

very nice progression for just two changes, the solo changing makes it flow like a river (or something stupid like that, thats how I imagined it). I like it.

sick drum tone and guitar tone, also the synth that comes in around 1:20 fits really well. 2005 rock-esque vibes like the Killers or something, i like it

SpinWires responds:

You made our guitarist Jay very happy with this comment. He's a big Killers fan.

i like how punchy the kick is, and the wubby stereo bass, also the piano is super crisp sounding, which i can never get as good, i like it

Quarl responds:

I'm surprised you caught that stereo on the lead. I use a splitter to send the lead down two channels, one to the left and one to the right. Either signal can be stacked with fidelity units or effects. It gives me a sense of control over the lead or it just makes a messy patch, I have no idea :D

Edit: forgot to say, I do the same stereo trick to the piano but the brightness comes from a brighter piano patch with good samples. Reason has some punchy pianos. I like playing BRIGHT pianos irl. Some have said that my piano patches sounds cheap or mechanical but to me it just sounds like the kind of pianos I like playing. I like hammering on them at full velocity lacking sensitivity. I'll play with fingers splayed in four separate octaves for big full tones. All the notes can be the same or you can offset the left hand from the right hand but octaves working together give rich, full leads :3

sick ass synth modulation and effects, awesome sidechaining, also the groove change at 2 min is cool.
