YOOOOOOOO, this goes HARD. The synths at 2:15 amd 3:12 are crazy good sounding. Good job and good luck this round

CrowdDoll responds:

Thank you so much

motherfucking palm mutes like crazy, love it. i used to be good at them then i stopped for a little and now i suck again. The double tracking on this is crazy good too.

Metaljonus responds:

Palm mutes for life lol thanks for listening!

Very melancholic, I like the distant droning and panning vocals. It feels very stagnant, which fits the vibe. I like it

Fun song. Very final-boss like (fitting for a big boy rumble tumble). I like the guitar but its a shame its a VST (which I totally understand because u probably dont have a guitar so can't do anything about it), because this would sound really dope with shredding guitar solos, with two hand tapping and pinch harmonics, etc. I like the ending too, very cool.

Shameless self promo, if you need guitar ever feel free to DM me anytime cause I like doing that stuff.

Very nice guitars. It's VST right? You did a good job on making the articulations sound very authentic. I also like the left and right response that each guitar does. I also like that the snare goes left and right too. Gives it width. I also like the build up and drop around 2:20. Very cool

pftq responds:

Thanks! Yes, all VSTs - and yes very intentional stereo panning to make it sound full. We actually had specific left/right guitars assigned to me or Waterflame to try to accentuate the sense of call/response, but it got less respected as the song went on. XD (more specifically WF used them like they were different instruments and just had an orchestra of 4 of the same guitar playing the same notes lol)

Damn when the drums come in, its a fucking JAM. I love the intro synth too. And how distorted it gets on later. Mix is solid, only thing that feels off is how close the marimba (or bell synth I don't know which) is to your ear, like it needs more verb on it. It's also jarring because the volume discrepancy between everything else. Id say lower the volume, and give it some more verb. Other than that is solid as hell.

This is a solid ass OST for a game in your head. Tennis Max is a great starter song. Home and Armed is a fuckin vibe. That synth fits too well. I like the change up too. It's like a mix of vgm and cumbia which is really cool too. Gone Fishing is also fucking banger too. Any% is really cool too, its a vibe I really can't put my finger on, kinda like its a bgm for an intermission moment. Equal is like a club mission vibe. Inward Heel is the "time to fuck up the gang leader" moment song. I really like when all the instruments drop out and its just the pluck synth. Astrex is like escaping said gang hideout on boat or plane, upbeat and bright. Very, very cool.

For 5 days this song is a banger. I love that progression around 1:28-ish, it really gives off good vibes. I get reminded of Sega games for some reason, although its most likely the bright sound of every instrument.

rherdalaezian responds:

a lot of people get retro related feelings from my music and i like that. thanks for your review :) !

Dang that progression works way better than I thought it would. Very silent-hill like. I love the techno arp synth thing a lot, makes it even more alien and spacey.

That kick is like magic for this track, it has that muffled lo-fi perfect. Very nice instrumental as well with the small add ons giving it great movement.
