I like that melody a lot, It has a Keygen vibe but its not chiptune or whatever its called, drums fit very nice as well, I like it.

I dig the progression, its very melancholy, but also happy if that makes sense. If you've ever played Viva Pinata this reminds me of the OST a lot. also the transition around 2:35 is very nice, I like it.

[Level One Redux]

The sidechain raises the song to another level, so grabby and punchy. The only part that feels off about the sidechain is that synth pad, it sounds like its coming back in faster than the bass so it doesn't feel in sync with the bass. If the synth and bass were at the same release rate I think it would help the rhythm flow better. The answer/response melody is very cool as well. I like it.
